Finoca used to call Charles "Pasarinho," which means "little bird." She will still call him that sometimes, and I was surprised to see that she was carrying all nearly 40 lbs. of him around the house in her capulana. She's gotten a bit sentimental a few times when we've talked about leaving. She refers to Charles as her baby.
